The usual cycle in Fullmetal Alchemist:
Ed and Al go off in their mission to find the philosopher's stone. They get in some big fight with the Homunculi. Ed gets his automail arm ripped off. They go visit Winry. Ed shows what happened to his arm. Winry hits him with her wrench. Winry fixes the arm. Ed and Al go back on their journey. And so it restarts.
